Dr. Drosos Kourounis
My current research focuses on the design and implementation of efficient numerical algorithms for simulation and optimization of reliable intercoupled multi-energy carrier systems. The optimal control problems that arise in this area include optimization of gas flow, multiperiod optimal power flow, and energy hub optimization. My past researched involves optimal control problems in compositional flow in porous media, reservoir simulation, and enhanced oil recovery.
