A post-doctoral position is available at the Limongelli Research Group (LRG) at University of Lugano USI (Switzerland)

The research will focus on development and application of computational methods for biosimulations. Topic is GPCR receptors, from ligand binding to receptor activation and oligomerization. Our group is mostly involved in the development and application of the ligand binding free energy method called Funnel-Metadynamics (FM) (key paper Limongelli et al. PNAS 2013, 110:6358-6363) and Coarse-Grained Metadynamics (CG-MetaD) simulations to investigate membrane proteins binding interaction (key paper Lelimousin, Limongelli, Sansom JACS 2016, 138:10611-10622). Applicants are expected to have expertise in both atomistic and coarse-grained molecular dynamics simulations. Further information on our research activities and publication list can be found at the following links:

Applicants are expected to have a solid base in physics and chemistry. The position is multi-year and salary above the European standard. People interested should send an email to including the following documents:

  • CV
  • List of publications
  • A brief statement of interest in our research
